Please read these terms carefully before booking with Taxi Spalato. By making a booking — whether by phone, WhatsApp, or through our website — you confirm that you have read and agreed to these terms.
1. About Taxi Spalato
Taxi Spalato is a privately operated taxi and private transfer service based in Split, Croatia. We provide airport transfers, local rides, and private day trips throughout Dalmatia and Croatia. All services are operated by a professional, licensed driver.
2. Bookings & Confirmations
A booking is considered confirmed only when you have received an explicit confirmation from Taxi Spalato via phone, WhatsApp, or email.
- Submitting a booking request through our website does not guarantee availability — we will confirm as soon as possible
- We reserve the right to decline a booking at our discretion
- Please ensure all booking details (date, time, pick-up address, number of passengers) are accurate at the time of booking
- It is your responsibility to provide correct flight details for airport transfers
3. Pricing & Payment
All prices displayed on our website are in Euros (€) and represent the total price per vehicle, not per person.
- Prices are fixed and agreed upon at the time of booking — no hidden fees or meter charges
- Payment is made directly to the driver at the end of the journey, in cash or by prior arrangement
- Entrance fees to national parks and other attractions on day trips are not included in the transfer price and are paid separately by the passenger
- Waiting time at airports due to flight delays is included at no extra charge
- Additional stops or significant route changes requested during a journey may incur an additional charge, agreed in advance
4. Cancellations & Changes
Cancellations by the passenger
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time: no charge
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time: a cancellation fee may apply
- No-shows (passenger does not appear at the agreed pick-up point): the full fare may be charged
Cancellations by Taxi Spalato
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a confirmed booking, we will notify you as soon as possible and, where applicable, assist you in finding an alternative arrangement. We will not be held liable for any losses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control (see Section 8).
5. Passengers & Luggage
- Our vehicles accommodate a maximum of 8 passengers. Bookings are made for either 1–4 or 5–8 passengers as indicated on our website
- Each passenger is entitled to one standard suitcase and one item of hand luggage
- Please inform us in advance of any oversized or excessive luggage, baby seats, wheelchairs, or other special requirements
- The driver reserves the right to refuse transport of items that could damage the vehicle or pose a safety risk
- Passengers are responsible for their own belongings. Taxi Spalato is not liable for items left in the vehicle
6. Passenger Conduct
We ask all passengers to treat our driver and vehicle with respect. The driver reserves the right to terminate a journey without refund if a passenger:
- Is abusive, threatening, or behaves in a disruptive manner
- Is visibly intoxicated to a degree that poses a risk to safety
- Damages or soils the vehicle (cleaning charges will apply)
- Smokes inside the vehicle
7. Day Trips — Specific Terms
For private day trips (Krka, Plitvice, Dubrovnik, and other destinations):
- The driver will pick you up at the agreed time, drive you to the destination, wait while you explore, and return you to Split
- Approximate exploration times stated on our website are guidelines only — we are flexible and will accommodate your pace within reason
- We are not responsible for national park opening hours, ticket availability, or entry restrictions
- In the event of road closures, extreme weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, we may need to adjust or suggest an alternative route or destination
- Entrance fees, food, drinks, and any personal expenses at the destination are not included
8. Limitation of Liability
Taxi Spalato operates with full professional care and carries appropriate insurance for all passengers. However, we shall not be liable for:
- Delays caused by traffic, road works, accidents, or other circumstances outside our control
- Missed flights, trains, or other connections due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control
- Loss or damage to passenger belongings during the journey
- Any indirect or consequential losses arising from our services
Our liability in any circumstances is limited to the fare paid for the journey in question.
9. Insurance
All journeys are covered by mandatory Croatian passenger liability insurance as required by law. All passengers are covered during transport in our vehicle.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia. Any disputes arising from bookings or the provision of our services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Split, Croatia.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version published on our website at the time of your booking will apply to your journey. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
